Researchers at The University of Queensland, with support from the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), are moving forward rapidly on development of a potential vaccine against COVID-19.

TetraQ’s in-life facility at St Lucia is undertaking preclinical safety studies to support progress to human trials, while collaborating with VPS/Stagebio from Mason, Ohio, USA for microscopic tissue examinations. Initial safety results are due in early July 2020.

In parallel, TetraQ’s bioanalytical operation at Herson is assessing antibody responses to the vaccine, for early indications of its effectiveness.
